An innovative, collaborative pathfinder project that is bringing together industry-leading expertise from Sweco and Mott Macdonald is aiming to help Anglian Water’s @one Alliance in developing a greater understanding of the challenges, opportunities and co-benefits of delivering sustainable, catchment scale solutions.

The project will also identify the organisational capabilities, partners and suppliers that are required to successfully deliver such solutions. If this new way of working proves viable and delivers benefit, Anglian Water’s @one Alliance want to be capable of delivering it at the onset of Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8 cycle) in April 2025 – the very purpose of AMP periods, set by industry regulator Ofwat, is to increase efficiency and service levels within the sector.

As the largest water and water recycling company in England and Wales by geographic area, Anglian Water wants to ensure that it delivers the best and sustainable service to their seven million customers.

The pathfinder project will comprise of a desk-top study and will be delivered in a series of sprints and workshops to analyse solution options and make decisions. Sweco will provide expertise from across the business to support throughout the project

The catchment scale, nature-based solution feasibility study and organisational capability study will conclude in April 2024.
