Sweco confirmed as Registered Building Control Approver

We’re pleased to share that Sweco Building Control has received its official licence to act as a Registered Building Control Approver from the Building Safety Regulator.

This marks a significant milestone in our commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and excellence in all Building Control (BC) work.

Full details of BSR-regulated activities we can perform will now be readily available on the public register for England and Wales. In short, our registration enables us to undertake a wide range of Building Control work, including continuing to deliver the BC function for higher-risk building work under:

  1. Regulation 46 of The Building (Registered Building Control Approvers etc.) (England) Regulations 2024.
  2. Regulation 3 of the Building Safety Act 2022 (Commencement No. 4, Transitional and Saving Provisions) (Wales) Regulations 2024.

Dale Anderson, Head of Sweco Building Control says: “Obtaining a licence as a Registered Building Control Approver from the Building Safety Regulator is a significant achievement. It demonstrates a commitment to maintaining high standards in building safety and compliance. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, whose expertise and commitment to excellence have made this milestone possible.

We are extremely proud of this achievement and remain dedicated to ensuring the safety, compliance, and quality of every project we undertake. A huge thank you to our team for their hard work, and to our clients for their continued trust and partnership.”
