Candidate Q & A

If I have a disability, can I get help with my application?

If you’re an applicant with a disability who requires help to complete any part of the application process, or you are unable to use the online application system, please contact ‘resourcing inbox’.

To help us process your request, please provide the following information:

  • Name
  • Preferred method of contact (phone or email)
  • Position title
  • Requisition/vacancy number

On receipt of the above details, we’ll respond to you promptly.

How do I apply for a position?

Search for current vacancies using a job title, keywords, or by location. If you see an opportunity that matches your interests and skills, click “Apply Now” and log into the system to apply.

If you do not already have an account, select “Don’t have an account yet?” and you will be asked to provide the required information. You can create your account with your email or through your LinkedIn or Twitter profile. Having an account enables you to save your job search parameters and keep track of your applications.

What if I can’t find what I’m looking for?

If the right job opening for you isn’t available now or you’re not ready to apply for any reason, we invite you to join our Talent Network. This service helps you to keep in touch with Sweco and provides regular Sweco career news and industry insights. You can also create an account to save your job search and receive notifications for new roles that may be of interest to you.

How do I check the status of my application?

Our recruiting partners contact potential candidates directly by phone or email. You will be notified about the status of your application. If a position you have applied for is still posted on our website, recruitment is still ongoing. If it has been taken down, the position has been filled. We encourage you to visit our site regularly to check for current vacancies.

What if I can’t log into the jobs site?

If you are unable to log to the job site in because you forgot your password or username, please click the “Forgot your password?” or “Forgot your user name?” link to reset. You’ll receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password. If you need further assistance, please contact us using the form at the bottom of this page.

What should I do if I suspect that I’ve received a fake job offer or have been targeted by a recruitment scam?

It has come to our attention that various individuals and organisations have contacted people offering false employment opportunities with Sweco. These scams are fraudulent. By making you aware of this, we hope to avoid and ultimately stop candidates from falling victim to this type of scam. Sweco employees conduct email communications via sweco.co.uk email accounts only.

Does Sweco accept unsolicited CVs from recruitment or employment agencies?

Please note that Sweco does not accept unsolicited CVs from recruitment or employment agencies. In the absence of a signed Recruitment Fee Agreement, Sweco will not consider or agree to payment of any referral compensation or recruiter fee. In the event a recruiter or agency submits a CV or candidate without a previously signed agreement, Sweco explicitly reserves the right to pursue and hire those candidate(s) without any financial obligation to the recruiter or agency. Any unsolicited CVs, including those submitted to hiring managers, are deemed to be the property of Sweco.
