It always helps to do a bit of planning before an interview to learn a bit more about the company and anticipate what questions you may be asked. Being prepared will really help you stay more calm and the interview will go much smoother.
Currently working on:
I’m currently working on a mixture of projects within the private and public sector. One of the main projects I’m involved in at the moment is a multi-modal scheme along a section of the A641 in West Yorkshire. I’m working on producing mapping, helping with the reports and liaising with the relevant councils.
Why I chose Sweco:
As someone with a background in Human Geography I was personally drawn towards Sweco’s commitment to sustainability and aim to design for the cities of ‘tomorrow’.
What I enjoy most about my work:
I’ve really enjoyed the variety of projects I’ve been involved in. Despite being based in Manchester, I’ve worked on projects all over the UK and even in Ireland!
Highlight of the Graduate Development Programme so far:
I think the biggest benefit to the Graduate Development programme has been meeting other graduates from around the UK. It’s been really helpful to have a network of support of others who are in a similar position and just starting out their careers.
Advice to applicants:
