27 November 2017
At this year’s prestigious World Architecture Festival our architectural colleagues from Sweco Sweden took first prize in the Future Projects – Culture with –Kulturkorgen, a new cultural centre in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Judges described the Kulturkorgen as "an optimistic project that celebrates cultural diversity and integration." The new cultural centre will house a library, cafe´, exhibition space, meeting rooms, a studio, a small theatre and a green house to form a "an informal and accessible community space.”

Sweco Sweden’s architects also received an honourable mention for their project Ge mig era trötta – Give Me Your Weary, in the category Competition Entries - Future Projects. The project is a vision for Öresund City – a new European metropolis by 2030.

World Architecture Festival is the only global interiors festival that combines awards, live judging, conferences and networking providing knowledge and inspiration.
