Sweco donates £20,000 Christmas party budget to local charities

17 December 2020
With so many charities greatly impacted by COVID-19, Sweco has donated its £20,000 staff Christmas party budget to local charities and groups across the UK and Ireland in the hopes of helping families and individuals during this festive season.

“This past year has been a challenging time for everyone – no more so than for the local charities which our Sweco offices support. By donating our Christmas party budget to these charities, we ensure that they can continue to provide the vital lifeline of support and services to those who need it the most,” said Heather Astin, Head of Communications and Marketing.

Sweco is committed to making a positive difference in the communities where we live and work and is proud of the support we have received both from our colleagues and the selected charities with regards to this initiative. Our Christmas Giving campaign has helped a number of charities including Bethany Christian Trust, Acorn Children’s Charity, CamSight, Daisy Chain Project, Butterwick Hospice Care, Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, Frank's Fund - Bone Cancer Trust, CUH Charity -designated charity of Cork University Maternity Hospital, Society of St Vincent de Paul, Jessie May Trust, Selig Suffolk Trust, Extra Mile- charitable outreach run by Hampton Methodist Church, CHESS Homeless, MS Society (Scotland), Porchlight (homeless charity) and Children and Families Ltd.
