Sweco Exhibit Strong Building Design, Structures and Environmental Expertise at MIPIM
The team met with developers and investors at the four-day event in Cannes and partnered with the Leeds City Region for the second consecutive year.
Sweco is working closely with the authority on its sustainable growth strategy, which includes delivering one of the largest district heat networks in the UK in partnership with Vital Energi.
Our team joined colleagues from Sweco Norway and over 200 clients for an engaging and thought-provoking seminar on air quality in urban environments. Buildings director Geoffrey Palmer also attended a panel with representatives from across Europe to discuss sustainability and how to reduce operational and embodied carbon in buildings.
Driving down carbon is a major priority for Sweco, and we enjoyed significant success recently at the 2019 BREAAM awards, where we were named the Mechanical and Engineering Consultant of the Year for a second consecutive year.
David Leversha, structural engineering director for buildings, Sweco, said: “MIPIM is not just a vital opportunity for the sector to come together to discuss new projects, but an important platform to push forward the sustainability agenda. We’re seeing continual progress in the high-end, multidisciplinary projects we’re delivering across the UK and look forward to helping drive this forward through new, innovative approaches to reducing carbon.”
Established in 1990, MIPIM, the world’s leading property market conference, gathers the most influential international property players from a range of sectors for four days of networking, learning and transaction.
