Hailsham Primary School
Project Overview
Hailsham Primary Academy is a new-build primary and nursery school sited near Hellingly village, to the north of Hailsham, East Sussex. The two-storey building, with a GIFA of 2,498m2, was delivered by Morgan Sindall Construction under a Design and Build contract for the client, East Sussex County Council. Architectural services were provided by Millar Bourne. The superstructure was formed using the modular Streif panel system.
The school is built on a greenfield site and has created 420 primary and nursery places for the north Hailsham community, due to significant levels of new homes being built in the area.
The site includes a separate nursery for 40 children, 14 state-of-the-art classrooms, library, food science and technology areas, SEN therapy rooms and hall for dining and sports use.
