Creating a new community on the banks of the Irwell, in the rejuvenated Salford Crescent area, the build has developed two towers – 16 and 21 storeys high – into nearly 400 apartments, seven townhouses and an extensive, exclusive leisure offering.

With a cinema room, yoga studio, gym, launderette, courtyard gardens, coffee shop, solarium, swimming pool, sauna and spa, Local Crescent represents a new standard in apartment living for an increasingly aspirational area. The development also comprises commercial space, office space and parking facilities, bringing even more appeal to the immediate area.

Having worked with Salboy and its chosen construction partner Domis on numerous previous projects – including the prestigious Viadux tower which is currently under construction – we were called upon to provide a full approved inspector service. This would see us play our part in detailed preliminary discussions, providing our advice and insight to ensure a safe, compliant build. Throughout the development, our team was key to the smooth, safe running of the project, thanks to continual inspections and liaison with the design team.

As with any high-rise residential development, we were particularly focused on fire safety. The team provoked significant discussion on all aspects of fire safety, with a particular focus on the details of the buildings’ external façades. As a result, the development boasts upmost safety and compliance, alongside a stylish finish and architecturally impressive design.
