Our Carbon Reduction Plan
Sweco UK & Ireland is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2040. We project that carbon emissions will decrease by 40% over the next five years, with a key specific aim to eliminate all gas emissions by 2030.
“We are laser-focused on making sure our carbon reduction plan has integrity, whilst being ambitious enough to meet the targets which policy-makers and governments feel are necessary to keep us within 1.5 degrees as set out by the Paris Agreement.
Having already made significant improvements in recent years, we want to continue to reduce our emissions from commuting. We have also benefited significantly from a reduction in domestic flights together with the reduced emissions arising from company owned vehicles.
We are also preparing our implementation plan for energy efficiency improvements in our estate and we are planning for new infrastructure that can support lower emission vehicles – including EVs and Ebikes – for our office locations.
