Lindsey Taylor set to make a splash as new Water Director for Sweco UK & Ireland
PRESS RELEASE
We are excited to confirm that Lindsey Taylor has this week taken up her role as our new Sweco UK & Ireland Water Director.
Lindsey brings with her a proven track record of delivering excellence in innovation and sustainability at Anglian Water, one of our key clients, as well as invaluable experience in other roles in flood management and product-based delivery.
With UK utilities investment set to reach record levels over the coming years, Lindsey will lead the onward march in our mission of Transforming society together with the likes of Wessex Water, Yorkshire Water, Northumbrian Water and Anglian Water both across the AMP8 landscape and throughout wider national critical infrastructure – where her twin passions for innovation and decarbonisation will be more important to the industry than ever.
Speaking of her appointment, Lindsey said:
“I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to lead Sweco’s Water team. The water sector is undergoing a massive transformation, possibly on a scale we will never see again, bringing with it many opportunities. My passion for and experience in sustainability, innovation, digital, and carbon reduction ensures I can support the Water team in pivoting towards these opportunities.
I have worked in water all my career, and I have witnessed the ever-increasing pressures it is facing. With the demand for water increasing, the escalating pace of climate change increasing the risk of droughts and flooding, and the loss of biodiversity impacting water quality, we need to find new solutions to mitigate these challenges.
My vision for Sweco is to infuse Nature-based Solutions, systems thinking, innovation, and sustainability with technical excellence. Sitting alongside engineering and modelling, we need to integrate creative landscape architecture, leverage ecologists’ and sustainability expertise, and maximise digital skills to revolutionise our industry over AMP8 and beyond.”
