Specialist rail consultancy services

Structures

Our vast engineering experience covers rail projects involving structures such as bridges, buildings, culverts, retaining walls, gantries and ancillary structures. We design new structures and are experienced in examination, assessment, reporting and designing repairs to existing structures.

We use our knowledge of structural failure and deterioration to design effective solutions to complex and challenging situations. We use the same knowledge during the design of new structures to ensure designs are economical and result in high performing assets with longevity.

Stations & buildings

Sweco has been carrying out consultancy works at stations for a great many years, both for Network Rail and Train Operating Companies (TOCs). Our engineers adapt their knowledge to multiple situations, materials and challenges to produce sustainable results for our clients. We understand that stations are part of the public image for the railway and that the needs of passengers and other customers are paramount at these important revenue-earning sites

Infrastructure

various memberships and certifications in the UK and internationally that keep us ‘on the curve’. We collaborate with all stakeholders and are conversant in working effectively with third parties such as the Environment Agency, highway authorities, local authorities and statutory sewerage undertakers.
